Arran R. Hawkins 

Arran R. Hawkins is a Cornish actor, director, writer and independent artist.
Hawkins studied theater and fine arts at Truro College and Dartington College of Arts, and

in 1994, while still a student, helped set up the Grinning Gargoyle Theater Company.
In 2008 he moved to Shanghai to teach art and acting and soon became involved in the local theater scene. As a director, actor, writer, producer, stage manager and technician, he has been involved in numerous productions such as "King Lear", "Much Ado", "About Nothing", "Private Life", "12. night” etc. involved.
Under his direction, the celebrated exhibition "Black is the Color of my Voice" about the life of Nina Simone was created in 2014, which after its opening in Shanghai was also shown in New York, Florida, Seattle, Barbados and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival .
Hawkins founded Theater Anon in 2013 with four friends from the theater community to produce professional English-language theater in Shanghai.
In early 2015, Hawkins wrote, directed and produced the family play OZ, in which he starred, based on Frank L. Baum's The Wizard of OZ.
He also adapted and directed a series of children's books such as The Little Prince, The Jungle Book, Carmela The Musical and The Absence Of Reason, a play about love in all its forms, for Shanghai Pride in 2017/ 2018
Arran R. Hawkins moved to Berlin at the end of 2018 and founded the experimental comedic theater group Va! together with Hila Mercier. Va!, who performed at the Acud Theater Berlin in May 2019.
Lost in the Woods is the debut production of Hawk & Hill's Theatre, the collective of Arran R. Hawkins and Hila Mercier.

Hila Meckier

Hila Meckier is a Berlin-based Israeli actress, artist and choreographer. Meckier graduated the

"Nissan Native Acting Studio" in Tel Aviv.
After graduating in 2006, she became a co-founder of Dimona Culture Lab, an ensemble laboratory exploring multidisciplinary and cultural art forms, where she was an actress and choreographer for three years.
For almost two decades Meckier has been working with the improvisation technique "Harega" (the now), which is based on Ruth Zapora's "Action Theater" and which is based on the combination of movement, voice and text. In her work as a director, she has developed several Pieces and installations. Among other things, 2007 "in silence" - a movement exhibition in public space, which was shown at the Acco international fringe festival and in various galleries in Tel Aviv. In Berlin she directs a physical theater ensemble and in 2019 created both a performance
for the "Let me in" as well as the "Endlich" festival.
She also wrote and directed a children's play for the "Haifa festival - international children's theater".
Meckier was recognized at the Miff Festival - Milan, Italy for her role in the film "Who are you to me?" was nominated for Best Actress and won the title at several festivals in Israel.
Today she is a member of the "Political Voice Institute" at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin where she performes in the shows: "An app for one person" and "Still life".
In 2019, together with Arran R. Hawkins, Meckier founded the experimental comedic theater group Va! Va!, who performed at the Acud Theater Berlin in May 2019.
